Office FAQ

Home visits

Home visits are conducted with health and safety in mind. All families should be symptom-free for at least 36 hours prior to any in-person appointment. If necessary, pre-visit intake work can be conducted over the phone or video call to reduce the amount of time in-person.

Service area

Home visits are available to anyone within an hour of the Portland, Oregon Metro Area (e.g. Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Hillsboro, Tigard, Gresham and more). Outside of Portland proper, a travel fee will be added ($1/mile, round trip). Please contact me if you’re wondering if I can make it out to you.

Payment and billing

Full payment is due at the appointment time, and cancellation or changes must be made 24 hours before the appointment time. Any no-show or changes to appointments after the 24 hour period will be charged the full appointment fee.

Your fee is HSA/FSA-eligible, and a sliding scale is available–please reach out if you would like to be considered for a sliding scale rate.

Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members are automatically eligible for the sliding scale rate of $50 off their initial appointments and 20% off all other appointments. Please contact me for an OHP discount code to use when booking.

Craniosacral FAQ

What is the craniosacral rhythm?

There is a rhythm in your body you’ve probably never heard of; similar to the beat of your heart and the rise and fall of your breath, another cycle is happening. The craniosacral rhythm is the wave-like motion of your cerebral spinal fluid from your skull down to your tailbone, then up and back, over and over again.

Imagine if your heart was beating irregularly or your breathing was labored… what would it be like to live in your body? We can say the same for a body with an irregular or stagnant craniosacral rhythm: The body is just not getting everything it needs to thrive.

What is craniosacral therapy like?

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle and effective mode of hands-on treatment for all bodies. It is done on a massage table, fully clothed with only the client’s body and practitioner’s hands as the tools for healing. The therapist uses touch and other indicators to find where tension is stored in the body, in the facia, and unwinds and softens those areas using only light touch.

Regular craniosacral therapy can help a wide range of ailments and discomforts-it all depends on what the body needs and how quickly it can heal.

What about older babies, children and adults? Do you only see infants?

All ages are welcome to book visits for craniosacral therapy. In fact, it’s highly encouraged that at least one of your follow up appointments include the infant and lactating parent, as co-regulation is key at this age. Please book an initial appointment for in-office, and complete the appropriate intake forms when registering.

The office space is family-friendly with a restroom, breakout space, and books and toys for siblings.
