FAQ

Home visits

Home visits are conducted with health and safety in mind. All families should be symptom-free for at least 36 hours prior to any in-person appointment. If necessary, pre-visit intake work can be conducted over the phone or video call to reduce the amount of time in-person.

Service area

Home visits are available to anyone within an hour of the Portland, Oregon Metro Area (e.g. Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Hillsboro, Tigard, Gresham and more). Outside of Portland proper, a travel fee will be added ($1/mile, round trip). Please contact me if you’re wondering if I can make it out to you.

Virtual visits

Anyone in any location in the United States is welcome to book a virtual appointment.

All virtual visits are conducted via video chat (Zoom). To access Zoom you will need an internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or mobile phone). It is helpful to have a partner to help with the video during feeding observations, but not necessary.

Payment and billing

Full payment is due at the appointment time, and cancellation or changes must be made 24 hours before the appointment time. Any no-show or changes to appointments after the 24 hour period will be charged the full appointment fee.

A superbill can be provided for insurance by request. Your fee is HSA/FSA-eligible, and a sliding scale is available–please reach out if you would like to be considered for a sliding scale rate.

Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members are automatically eligible for the sliding scale rate of $50 off their initial appointments and 20% off all other appointments. Please contact me for an OHP discount code to use when booking.

Virtual support by email or text

All appointments include unlimited virtual support by email and/or text message. Responses will be provided within 24 hours (all days of the week) and during business hours (8:00 am - 8:00 pm, every day). The support begins after the first contact or appointment, and runs indefinitely.

If questions cannot be answered efficiently via email or text message, or for other reasons, a follow up appointment may be necessary, and will be scheduled as needed.
